Our take
Sketch was the design tool that dethroned Photoshop for UI work, but it's been losing ground to Figma for years. The Mac-only requirement is its biggest limitation — it immediately excludes Windows and Linux users. That said, the native Mac performance is snappy, the plugin ecosystem is mature, and the $10/month annual price undercuts Figma. The web app has improved collaboration significantly, but it still can't match Figma's real-time editing polish. Best for Mac-only teams who are already invested in Sketch's workflow and plugin ecosystem.
