Our take

Cloudflare offers more for free than most competitors charge significant money for — unmetered CDN bandwidth, DDoS protection, free SSL, and DNS management at zero cost. Workers, R2, D1, and Pages make Cloudflare a genuine edge computing platform, not just a CDN. The value equation is extraordinary at every tier. The only downside: Enterprise pricing at $30K-100K/year is enterprise pricing, and Cloudflare's support tier below Enterprise is difficult to reach when something goes wrong.

Product roadmap

Cloudflare is building a complete developer platform on top of its network — Workers AI (LLM inference at the edge), Durable Objects (stateful edge), Vectorize (vector database), and AI Gateway are turning Cloudflare into a serverless cloud competitor. AI products are notably well-priced.
