Stytch is the modern authentication API purpose-built for passwordless: magic links, passkeys, and biometric authentication are first-class features, not afterthoughts. The developer experience is noticeably better than Auth0 — clear documentation, TypeScript-first SDKs, and a test mode that works without environment switching. B2B SSO (SAML, OIDC) and Organizations support make Stytch viable for B2B SaaS applications that need enterprise SSO without the complexity of building it manually. Usage-based pricing at $0.065/MAU after the first 1,000 is predictable and cheaper than Auth0's $23/month plan at small scale. The honest comparison with Auth0: Auth0 has a larger ecosystem, more third-party integrations, and broader enterprise adoption. Stytch wins on developer experience and passwordless-first architecture. Teams starting a new project in 2025-2026 often prefer Stytch; teams migrating off Auth0 are rare because auth migration is painful regardless of the destination.

Product roadmap

Stytch is expanding its B2B authentication capabilities (more enterprise SSO features, team management, audit logs), building out Connected Apps (OAuth server for building your own OAuth provider), and improving its fraud detection layer. Passkeys adoption is the primary growth driver as hardware-backed authentication replaces SMS OTP.
