Lunacy is the scrappy underdog of design tools — free, cross-platform, and surprisingly capable. The built-in Icons8 asset library (icons, photos, illustrations) saves real time, and the native desktop app runs noticeably faster than browser-based alternatives. Sketch file compatibility is a unique selling point. Where Lunacy falls short is collaboration (less polished than Figma), the lack of a plugin ecosystem, and a smaller community.
